Hive Digital Minds is an edtech startup committed to solving the challenges of communication between schools and parents. Their suite of products and services provide a way for school leaders to consolidate many of the communication tools they use so they can more effectively reach, connect and engage all members of their school community.
Fiest Design partnered with the management team to create an identity based on the owner’s concept of the culture of a beehive: connected, organized, and productive. Equally as important, Hive needed to be seen as an innovator in the edtech industry and stand out from their competitors.
The founder is active on social media and directs potential clients and partners to the website, which is frequently updated to keep content fresh and relevant. The site makes full use of the photo library that was built as part of the brand system.
The identity includes the use of conceptual photography as a literal connection to the Hive logo, and the honeycomb – a flexible graphic used emphasize key messages, a control field for other brand elements and to tie communications to the brand.
